DESCRIPTION:Course Duration \n1 Day \nThe Aim of the Course is to: \nGive training and practical assessment for those persons who need to plan implement and work to safe working procedures and permits for confined space entry. \nCourse Objectives \n  \n\nIdentify any hazards and associated risks involved when entering confined spaces.\nUnderstand the current legislation and codes of practice for confined space entry.\nImplement control measures such as ventilation\, gas detection and monitoring to eliminate and reduce potential risks.\nSelect inspect\, use and store personal protective equipment and site safety equipment.\nUnderstand and work to entry permits and safe working procedures.\nWork with escape breathing apparatus.\nImplement the appropriate accident and emergency procedures.\n\nCourse Summary \nCandidates will participate in theory lessons and practical demonstrations / exercises\, all of which are highlighted by the use of Powerpoint presentation & Videos covering: \n  \n\nHealth and Safety at Work Act 1974\nConfined Spaces Regulations\nProvision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations.\nOther current relevant regulations.\nConfined space hazards and associated risks\nSafe working procedures and entry permits\nGas detection\nUse of escape breathing apparatus\nAccess equipment\, winches and lifelines\nHygiene procedures\nAccident and emergency procedures\nPractical exercises\n\nWho Do We Recommend Attends The Course? \nAll personnel who are directly involved in the planning\, supervision and execution of work in confined spaces such as manholes\, shafts\, chambers\, sewers\, tanks etc. \nCertification \nLuddon Construction Ltd Certificate – Valid for 3 years.

SUMMARY:CITB Health\, Safety And Environment Tests
DESCRIPTION:The Operatives test ensures workers have a minimum level of health\, safety and environmental awareness before going on site. This test covers the following five core knowledge areas: \n\nWorking environment\nOccupational health\nSafety\nHigh risk activities\nSpecialist\n\nThe pass mark for the Operatives test is 90%. To pass\, you need to answer at least 45 out of 50 questions correctly. \nThe official CITB GT100 publication contains all of the content that is covered within the test in the form of questions and answers so that you can fully prepare for your test. It is also available as a digital download. There is a smartphone app which provides test simulations so you can practise answering knowledge questions against the clock and highlight the areas where further preparation is needed. The Operatives app is available in the 14 voiceover languages offered. \n  \nAdditional Information\nPlease note the total cost of this test includes the £22.50 CITB test fee and an additional admin fee however does not include the card application fee.  We do not apply for the physical card upon completion of training.
