DESCRIPTION:The Operatives test ensures workers have a minimum level of health\, safety and environmental awareness before going on site. This test covers the following five core knowledge areas: \n\nWorking environment\nOccupational health\nSafety\nHigh risk activities\nSpecialist\n\nThe pass mark for the Operatives test is 90%. To pass\, you need to answer at least 45 out of 50 questions correctly. \nThe official CITB GT100 publication contains all of the content that is covered within the test in the form of questions and answers so that you can fully prepare for your test. It is also available as a digital download. There is a smartphone app which provides test simulations so you can practise answering knowledge questions against the clock and highlight the areas where further preparation is needed. The Operatives app is available in the 14 voiceover languages offered. \n  \nAdditional Information\nPlease note the total cost of this test includes the £22.50 CITB test fee and an additional admin fee however does not include the card application fee.  We do not apply for the physical card upon completion of training.

DESCRIPTION:Course Duration\nDays: 1 – 5 (last day for testing) \nAttendees\n1 – 4 \nCourse Objectives\nBy the end of the course the operator should be able to: \ninstructions and accepted good practice.\nOperate the machine safely and correctly in accordance with manufacturers’ manual and\nDemonstrate an understanding of responsibilities under relevant legislation.\nPosition dumper for loading from and discharging into\, excavations.\nUnderstand the causes of instability of dumper and load.\nOperate safely under varying site conditions.\nCarry out a pre-start inspection. \nCourse Summary \nUse of stop blocks\nPosition for loading\nRelevant regulations/legislation\nTravelling on inclines\nRefuelling procedures\nIntroduction to machine\nHill starts\nControls and instruments\nPre-start inspection/maintenance\nDriving\, loading and unloading\nUse of various types of skips\nTheory Test Preparation \nCertification\nTrained Operator Card – Valid for 2 years (non renewable). \nRefresher Period\nThe Trained Operator Card is not renewable (see follow-on courses below). \nRecommended Follow-On Courses\nVocational Qualification (VQ) in Plant Operations (SCQF Level 2) on Forward Tipping Dumper is achieved within 2 years of gaining a Trained Operator Card. A Competent Operator Card\, for this category\, can be applied for upon achievement of the relevant VQ. The Competent Operator Card is valid for 5 years and is renewable.
