{"id":135,"global_id":"luddon.co.uk\/training?id=135","global_id_lineage":["luddon.co.uk\/training?id=135"],"author":"1","status":"publish","date":"2024-04-29 14:45:13","date_utc":"2024-04-29 13:45:13","modified":"2026-02-06 14:33:43","modified_utc":"2026-02-06 14:33:43","url":"https:\/\/luddon.co.uk\/training\/course\/new-roads-and-streetworks-supervisor\/","rest_url":"https:\/\/luddon.co.uk\/training\/wp-json\/tribe\/events\/v1\/events\/135","title":"New Roads and Streetworks Supervisor","description":"<p>Duration: 5 Days<\/p>\n<p>Delegates: 3 &#8211; 6<\/p>\n<p>The New Roads and Street Works Act requires that anyone who executes, works for, or on behalf of, a utility company, is qualified for the activities being carried out.<\/p>\n<p>A NRSWA Streetworks Supervisor is anyone who carries out the monitoring of manual excavation and reinstatement of footpaths and highways.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>NRSWA Supervisor Units<\/h3>\n<p>The following NRSWA Training units are covered:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Unit LA (was Unit 9) &#8211; Location &amp; avoidance of underground apparatus<\/li>\n<li>Unit S1 (was Unit 10) &#8211; Monitoring Signing, lighting and guarding<\/li>\n<li>Unit S2 (was Unit 11) &#8211; Monitoring excavation in the highway<\/li>\n<li>Unit S3 (was Unit 12) &#8211; Monitoring reinstatement &amp; compaction of backfill materials<\/li>\n<li>Unit S4 (was Unit 13) &#8211; Monitoring reinstatement of sub base &amp; road in non-bituminous materials<\/li>\n<li>Unit S5 (was Unit 14) &#8211; Monitoring reinstatement in bituminous materials<\/li>\n<li>Unit S6 (was Unit 15) &#8211; Monitoring reinstatement of concrete slabs (subject to centre)<\/li>\n<li>Unit S7 (was Unit 16) &#8211; Monitoring reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footways<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Certification<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On successfully achieving a pass mark on both the practical and online assessment the candidate will qualify for a SQA certificate of unit achievement.
