{"id":145,"date":"2024-04-29T14:46:49","date_gmt":"2024-04-29T13:46:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sodwebsites.co.uk\/luddon_construction\/training\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=145"},"modified":"2025-06-13T14:31:33","modified_gmt":"2025-06-13T13:31:33","slug":"svq-level-3-in-crane-supervisor","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/luddon.co.uk\/training\/course\/svq-level-3-in-crane-supervisor\/","title":{"rendered":"SVQ in Controlling Lifting Operations: Supervising Lifts (SCQF Level 9)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Course Duration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is no set time for the VQ achievement process to take; candidates can work towards gaining the award at their own pace.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In order to complete this VQ the candidate must be able to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide evidence of their own work proving competence in Controlling Lifting Operations:\u00a0 Planning Lifts.<\/li>\n<li>Allow observation visits from assessor.<\/li>\n<li>Undertake recorded professional discussions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Units to be Achieved<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and maintain good working relationships.<\/li>\n<li>Supervising lifting activities.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain Systems for Health, Safety, Welfare and Environmental Protection.<\/li>\n<li>Co-Ordinate Work Control.<\/li>\n<li>Allocate and Monitor the Use of Plant, Equipment or Machinery.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the Dimensional Accuracy of the Work.<\/li>\n<li>Co-Ordinate Preparation for Site Operations.<\/li>\n<li>Allocate Work and Check People\u2019s Performance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Evidenced by<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work log books.<\/li>\n<li>Photographs\/DVD.<\/li>\n<li>Work sheets and time sheets.<\/li>\n<li>Oral questioning by the assessor.<\/li>\n<li>Practical observations.<\/li>\n<li>Recorded professional discussion.<\/li>\n<li>Course certificates from previously attended related courses.<\/li>\n<li>Witness testimony from management that is verified by an assessor.<\/li>\n<li>Written question papers produced by the assessor to quantify knowledge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Certification<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SQA Certificate in Controlling Lifting Operations: Supervising Lifts (SCQF Level 9)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Any Other Relevant Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Upon achievement of SVQ\u00a0 Lever 3and a Health, Safety and Environment Test for Supervisor\u2019s the candidate can apply for a CPCS Competent Operator Card as Lift Supervisor.
