{"id":94,"date":"2024-04-29T14:30:42","date_gmt":"2024-04-29T13:30:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sodwebsites.co.uk\/luddon_construction\/training\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=94"},"modified":"2026-03-30T08:33:06","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T07:33:06","slug":"plant-and-vehicle-marshalling-cpcs","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/luddon.co.uk\/training\/course\/plant-and-vehicle-marshalling-cpcs\/","title":{"rendered":"Plant and Vehicle Marshalling"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Course Duration<\/strong><br \/>\nDays: 1 \u2013 3 (last day for testing)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Attendees<\/strong><br \/>\n1 \u2013 3<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nCourse Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Duties, role and responsibilities and any limitations of those marshalling the movement of plant and vehicles in various situations<\/li>\n<li>Hierarchy of control measures for plant and vehicle movement and the requirements of a work traffic management plan<\/li>\n<li>Legislative requirements and procedures relating to plant and vehicles accessing\/egressing for the public highway and the effect on other road users<\/li>\n<li>Types, attributes, limitations, hazards and stability factors on different plant and vehicles relevant to the occupational area or sector<\/li>\n<li>Factors of driver visibility for different plant and vehicles<\/li>\n<li>Ground conditions, proximity hazards and weight limits and the affect these have on operations of plant and vehicles<\/li>\n<li>Safety positions for a marshaller and other personnel<\/li>\n<li>Communication methods and how to pass information on to drivers\/operators and other personnel involved<\/li>\n<li>Safe systems of work, exclusions zones, PPE and resources required to marshal<\/li>\n<li>Marshalling plant and vehicles to an exact location using an approved code of signals and marshalling to support the duties of the plant operator<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Certification<\/strong><br \/>\nTrained Operator Card \u2013 Valid for 2 years.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nRefresher Period<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Trained Operator Card is not renewable (see follow-on courses below).<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nRecommended Follow-On Courses<\/strong><br \/>\nVocational Qualification (VQ) in Plant Operations (SCQF Level 5) in Plant and Vehicle Marshaling is achieved within 2 years of gaining a Trained Operator Card. A Competent Operator Card, for this category, can be applied for upon achievement of the relevant VQ.
