Luddon Construction is pleased to announce that works have now commenced on site to deliver a brand-new Marks & Spencer (M&S) Food Store in Largs. This exciting development is being undertaken on behalf of Westquarter Developments Ltd and represents a continuation of Luddon’s successful track record delivering high-quality retail environments.
The project will see the transformation of a vacant site into a contemporary retail unit for one of the UK’s leading brands. The works involve the demolition of all remaining existing structures and the removal of redundant services, including gas, electricity, water, and telecoms infrastructure.
Once the site has been cleared, the focus will shift to constructing a purpose-built food store with a ground floor area of 11,800ft² and a 2,000ft² mezzanine level. The development will also include revised vehicular access, customer car parking, dedicated servicing areas, and landscaping works to complement the town’s coastal setting.
Luddon Construction is working closely with a team of specialist consultants, including G1 Architects as Principal Designer and Architect, CSQ Consult as Employers Agent and Project Manager, and Clancy Consulting as Structural and M&E Engineer.
This new M&S Food Store will not only bring a fresh shopping experience to Largs but will also enhance the town’s retail offering and provide a boost to the local economy.
Luddon Construction is proud to be delivering this project and looks forward to seeing the positive impact it will have for the community upon completion.
