Project Description

This project is currently on-site and involves plans to address primarily the civil condition of the building to ensure, with minimal maintenance, the building remains weather tight and secure for its planned life.

In addition, the project shall address ongoing issues related to Asbestos present within the building fabric.

Works Included

Removal of the existing cladding and glazing systems around the building including asbestos within the building fabric
Installation of new profiled steel cladding solutions around the building and replacement of all doors to meet current security and weatherproofing standards
Installation of ventilation louvres
Replacement / upgrading of the building lighting system to meet current standards and provide a safe working environment for operatives
Repair or replace roof drainage (internal downpipes)
Repair external brickwork where cracking or mortar loss has occurred
Repair cracking to walls and internal roof of control rooms
Replace any damaged cable trench covers with GRP covers including asbestos clean-up of trenches
Carry out repairs to main roof fixings and apply appropriate coating system to prolong the existing roof life
