Shawfield Link Road, Phase 2

Project Description

The construction of a spine road, footways and associated services at Shawfield, Glasgow.

The site is located in Shawfield and within land administered by both South Lanarkshire Council and Glasgow City Council.

Removal of boundary fences, obstructions
Construction of new road, footways and verges, approx. 250m
Earthworks to desired levels to allow the construction of new road
Break up of ground floor slabs, hard-standings, existing roads and other surfaces along the new road
Stopping up/grubbing up existing road infrastructure
Managing multi-utility disconnection/diversion works
SUDS features, land drainage packages and foul drainage works
Traffic management to maintain use of Toryglen Street and Queensferry Street for vehicle and pedestrian access to existing premises
Construction to adoptable standard of roads and footpaths including excavation and disposal, capping layer, sub-base and associated kerbing
Surface water drainage, street lighting and BT ducting installation
