The Importance of Mental Health at Work and Beyond

For many people, poor mental health doesn’t just affect how they feel, it affects how they work, how they cope, and how they live.

One in three people say their work performance has suffered, and one in eight have needed to take time off in the past year to protect their mental health.

At Luddon Training, we know this isn’t something that can be fixed overnight. But we also believe that doing something matters. Over the past two days, 12 of our team have completed Mental Health First Aid training, giving them the confidence and skills to support colleagues, friends and family and to better understand their own mental wellbeing too.

This is just the beginning. In 2026, we want to continue extending that support beyond our own organisation and into the wider business community by regularly delivering accredited Mental Health First Aider courses.
