Scotland’s first Topgolf opens in Glasgow

Luddon Construction are celebrating the completion of Scotland’s first Topgolf facility, for client Ashfield Land, at their Two 74 development in Rutherglen.

The state-of-the-art golf driving range officially opens to the public today, offering a new type of leisure attraction to the Glasgow City region.

The 45,000ft² facility features a three-tiered driving range with 72 climate-controlled outdoor hitting bays. The game is designed for all skill levels – from beginners to seasoned golfers. The site also includes bars, restaurants and a large car park.

The golfing attraction is surrounded by a 52-metre-high net to prevent golf balls from leaving the range.

Jordan Keatings, Building Divisional Manager, said: “Constructing Scotland’s first Topgolf facility was a great project for Luddon Construction to be involved in.

It has been a pleasure working closely with Ashfield Land, Topgolf and the design team to provide a state-of-the-art leisure facility that will help to regenerate the Rutherglen area through hundreds of local jobs and investment.

We look forward to seeing Topgolf Glasgow becoming a key attraction for the city.”
