Mental Health Awareness Week 2025 – Taking Action, Building a Supportive Workplace at Luddon Construction

As we mark Mental Health Awareness Week 2025, we’re taking time to reflect on the progress we’ve made in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our people.

At Luddon, we recognise that mental health is just like physical health – everyone has it, and everyone needs to look after it. We also understand that mental health challenges are part of the human experience. That’s why we’re committed to creating a workplace culture where people feel safe, supported, and connected.

Some of our key initiatives include:

• Training Mental Health First Aiders, with a further course scheduled this month. Our Mental Health First Aiders play a vital role in offering peer-to-peer support across the business.

• Delivering “A Guide to Mental Health at Work”, a practical booklet tailored for our workforce. It offers advice on recognising signs of stress, managing anxiety and depression, building positive habits, and supporting others.

• Launching #NoStigma, a short film developed in partnership with GCSA and Forth Valley College, aimed at challenging the stigma around mental health in construction and encouraging open conversations.

We’re also taking bookings for our next MHFA course on 27–28 May—contact our training team for more details. Training@Luddon.co.uk / 0141 945 2233
