Our team working on the Diageo Cambus Welfare Project has been commended by our client for delivering best-in-class Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) performance. This outstanding achievement has elevated Luddon Construction to Tier 2 Contractor status within Diageo’s performance framework.
Diageo’s Tier 2 Contractor system functions like a league table, ranking contractors based on their performance metrics. These rankings are a critical factor for clients like Diageo when inviting contractors to tender for projects and during the contractor selection process. The rankings are determined through consistent evaluation of contractors’ HSE performance throughout the contract duration and lifecycle.
The Luddon team has consistently delivered exceptional HSE results, setting a benchmark for excellence on the Diageo Cambus Welfare Project. These achievements reflect our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental performance.
This recognition reinforces Luddon Construction’s reputation as a reliable, high-performing contractor within the sector. The team’s ability to deliver exceptional results opens the door to new opportunities. Furthermore, it strengthens our relationship with valued clients like Diageo, enabling us to continue providing a first-class service across all our projects.
Tom Clelland, Project Manager – Luddon said “Its great to be recognised for this level of award with a client such as Diageo and we are aware that this only happens with the whole team, including the client, working together with clear communication being key to safe ongoing project delivery and execution. We also acknowledge the hard work done by all sub-contractors involved and we will continue to work safely together”.
Alan Trainer, Construction Manager and Project Safety Lead – Diageo said “Tom and John have been leading this Project with the expectations that we would expect from Luddon. The Luddon site team have engaged with Diageo’s standards on safety and openness from the pre-start meeting. High risk activities were discussed openly at the pre-start meeting with Luddon site team and safety team undertaking an initial review to mitigate the risks.”
